Who we are
Quizna is a quiz game published by ELITE GENESIS - FZCO, Building A1, Dubai Digital Park, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We decide how the data described on this page is used.
You can reach us through the support form on this website. We do not publish an email address or a phone number.
Who the app is for
Quizna is for a general audience. Some quizzes are made for younger players, from about 6 years old, and others for teenagers and adults. The app does not ask for your age or date of birth. You can choose an age group, but it only decides which quizzes are shown.
Usernames are free text, are visible to other players and are not moderated. Please choose a username that is not a real name. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise young children, and are welcome to ask us to delete an account at any time.
What we collect
The app creates a guest account the first time you open it. You do not sign up, and the app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location. We store:
- a random player ID that identifies your account;
- your username and avatar;
- your language and your age group preference (kids, preteens, teens or adults);
- your game history: each quiz you play, your answers, score, streak, XP, level and your place on the rankings;
- a note when the app is sent to the background during a quiz, which we use to detect cheating;
- the list of questions you have already seen, so quizzes do not repeat;
- a secure token, stored in hashed form, that lets the app stay signed in for up to 60 days;
- your IP address, which our servers use briefly to limit abuse. We do not keep an access log.
What we do not collect
The app does not use analytics or tracking tools. There is no advertising in the app, and no advertising or third-party tracking code. It does not ask for access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos: the only permission it asks for is Internet access. Nothing is sold in the app.
Why we use your data
We use your data to run the game: to show quizzes, score your games, keep your progress and rankings, let you play in rooms with friends, prevent cheating and keep the service safe. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
Who can see your data
Other players can see your player ID, username, avatar, level and XP in friends rooms and on the rankings. Nobody else can see your data except us and the services that run it for us, described below. We do not sell personal data.
Who processes your data
These services process data for us:
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure hosts the app's servers and database, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and stores encrypted backups.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers the messages you send through its forms.
- The email service we use receives those messages.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data until you delete your account. The app does not delete inactive accounts on its own, so an account that is never used again stays until it is deleted, by you or at your request.
When an account is deleted, everything in it is removed from our servers. Copies in backups are removed as the backups are replaced: the regular backups within 30 days, and the few extra safety copies we take before some software updates when newer copies replace them, which can take longer. If we ever had to restore an old backup, a deleted account could reappear for a short time, and we would delete it again.
Messages you send through this website are kept in our mailbox only as long as we need them to answer you. We keep a deletion request for up to 12 months, to show that it was handled.
Your rights
You can delete your account yourself in the app: Settings, then Delete account. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. You can change your username and avatar yourself in the app.
You can also ask us to delete your account, to tell you what data we hold about you, or to correct it. Use the delete-your-account page or the support form on this website. We answer within 30 days.
Children and parents
Because Quizna includes quizzes for children, we keep what we collect small. A parent or guardian who wants to see or delete a child's account can contact us through the support form. We may ask for the username and for details that only the player would know, as explained on the delete-your-account page.
Messages you send us
When you use a form on this website, we receive the name or username, email address and message you type, the topic or the details you give, the language you used, and your IP address and country, which help us prevent abuse. We use them only to answer you. The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are a person.
Security
Connections to our servers use HTTPS. Sign-in tokens are stored hashed, and backups that leave the server are encrypted. Access to the servers is limited to the people who need it.
Where your data is processed
Our servers are in Saudi Arabia and our company is in the United Arab Emirates, so if you live somewhere else your data is processed outside your country. We use it only as described on this page.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Quizna handles data, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect. If a future version adds features such as signing in with an email address, Google or Apple, this page will say so before that version is released.
